A Quantum Expert is an expert witness appointed to provide independent and impartial opinion evidence on the quantum of claims in arbitration, adjudication, or litigation.
A Delay Expert is an expert witness appointed to provide independent and impartial opinion evidence on the time implications of claims in arbitration, adjudication, or litigation.
We may be appointed by one party or jointly by both, and their role is to assist the tribunal or court — not to advocate for a side.

A distinction can be made between quantum and liability which are independent but interrelated questions. This is important and each case has its nuances. A quantum expert does not concern themselves with legal blame.
The quantum expert process typically involves:
- An independent expert report under procedural rules (e.g., CPR 35, ICC, LCIA, or RICS practice statements).
- The expert may confer with the opposing expert to prepare a joint statement of agreed and disagreed issues.
- Provides oral testimony at hearings or cross-examination.
